Grand View Manor is a 142 bed Home for Special Care,
providing quality care for seniors.
The bed capacity is divided as follows:

Ross Unit - 28 beds
Chase Unit - 38 beds
Franey Unit - 28 beds
Winslow Unit - 18 beds
Rainforth/Wagner Unit - 30 beds

We provide 24 hour nursing care, meeting the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents.
Types of Care Provided at Grand View Manor
Administrative - Consists of the following staff: Administrator, Administrative Assistant, Director of Care, Assistant Director of Care, Risk Management /Infection Control, Nursing Clerical Support, Payroll Clerk and Accountant.
Nursing - Responsible for resident care. Team members are RNs, LPNs, CCAs and Doctors. A specialized Alzheimer Unit is available for residents who are at risk to wander.
Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy - Consists of a Physiotherapy Assistant from Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm as well as a Physiotherapist & Occupational Therapist twice a week.
Chaplaincy Service - Our Chaplain conducts church service, bible studies and is available for visitations.
Activity - Arranges group and individual activities for inside and outside the home.
Dietary - A Dietitian and Food Service Supervisor share administrative duties for this department. Meals are served at 8am, 12 noon, and 5pm.
Physician Service - GVM is staffed with a medical director. A resident may also engage a doctor of his or her choice from the area.
Pharmacy Services - A local pharmacy ensures that our in-house dispensaries are fully stocked.
Beauty Parlour - Available for the residents Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm and Saturday 9am to 12noon.
Housekeeping - Responsible for keeping Grand View Manor spic and span.
Laundry - Provides all laundry services.
Maintenance - Responsible for maintenance and repairs of equipment and fixtures.
Volunteers - These team members are coordinated by the Volunteer Coordinator.
Admission Procedure and Protocol:
All applications for admission to Grand View Manor are taken by Community Support Workers,
at Department of Health, through Single Entry Access.
